Grab your favourite snacks from our concession before we turn down the lights in the oldest home in St. Catharines to watch Singing Back the Buffalo, a powerful documentary on the struggle to restore the buffalo’s place on the Great Plain. This is a family-friendly event.

This documentary screening is part of CanFilmDay, coast-to-coast-to-coast celebration of Canadian cinema!

Doors open at 6 p.m. for house tours; screening begins at 7 p.m. followed by a brief discussion and reflection period led by Indigenous Educator Nicole Pigeau and The Brown Homestead staff. Participation is voluntary. 

This family-friendly public screening is free to attend. A range of your favourite movie theatre snacks will be available by donation. Seats are limited, reserve yours now!
