"The Question of the Canal’s Southern Terminus: Gravelly Bay and the Beginning of Port Colborne" presented by Michelle Vosburgh, Ph.D, Archivist.
Michelle will present a look at the discussions, and debates regarding locations and routes for the canal south of Port Robinson and the Welland River.

"Financing the First Welland Canal" presented by Adrian Petry, M.A., public historian and Visitor Services Coordinator.
Adrian will present a discussion of the financial and construction challenges endured by the Welland Canal Company on their way to completing the Welland Canal. Its troubled financial management makes the Welland Canal not only a marvel of engineering but a miracle of public-private administration.
